Good afternoon!! 

This email is dedicated to championship meets. This is an extremely important email; please read all the way through and follow all directions. 

Here are some quick rules and regulations that I want to go over before getting to the specific procedure:

1. Please think long and hard about attending the meets. We pay for each individual entry. It will not be acceptable to email me the night before the meet and say "we don't feel like swimming today". If there is some sort of emergency, that is completely understandable, but make your decision with care.
2. Your child must have swam in two meets in order to swim in a championship. They don't need to have swum an event twice but have to swim in two meets.
3. There will be volunteer positions at the meet. It will be a team effort. Please be prepared to step up. If you haven't met your quota for the year, be prepared to be signed up.
4. This year is going to be WEIRD. As of this moment, the league is planning on virtual championships. All of the championships will be run at the same time on Saturday, July 24th at our pool. We are still trying to figure out logistics on how to make this work tech-wise as well as fun wise!!! Thanks for your patience. We have some meetings in the next week so we're hoping to have a more clear picture.  We might finally get to do those parent relays!!!

Attached are the best times for the 2021 season so far. I am also attaching the time standards so you can see how far away the kiddos are from the next meet. Please look through the document to decide the meet you want your child(ren) to attend. You are still able to qualify for events at this Sunday's meet. If you have qualified for more than one champ meet, you may choose which meet your child is "attending" but can only swim those events that fit into that meet's time standards. (For example, if you have Silver and Gold times, and you're planning to swim at the Silver, you cannot swim those events for which you have Gold times.) Each child can swim no more than three events at your chosen meet.

Entry Procedure: If you plan to attend a Championship Meet, you must notify me, Coach Megan, by 2pm on Sunday (7/18). This deadline is final due to league rules. We will not enter any swimmers into any meets unless we have heard from you via email. Please send me (Coach Megan) at [email protected] an email with the subject "Championships" which includes:

1. Swimmers’ names
2. The meet they plan to attend
3. The three events they plan to swim 

You must email me at that gmail address. Please make the process easier for me and follow this laid out procedure. There is no swimtopia availability form to be filled out, so you must email me. If you know that you're going to be away or are not planning on attending, it would be immensely helpful to email me so that I am not hounding you! This is a confusing process; feel free to email me with questions.

As you can imagine, entering over 100 people into 3 different meets while following all league rules is a challenge.  I appreciate your help.  I am working on entries for this Sunday's meet against Chase Creek; please be sure to update your RSVP for the meet.
