With multiple drownings recently in our area and the upcoming holiday, I want to remind our team of the importance of water safety. Our community is blessed to have both pool and open water access so readily available. Drowning is fast and silent and can happen to even the best swimmers within 20-60 seconds. While lifeguards are a resource, we are all are responsible for the safety and supervision of our children. Take a minute to make a plan amongst the adults each time you're at the pool or at the beach for who has eyes on your kids.
