Final days of summer swim!
Good afternoon!
Hard to believe that we are winding down! We had a great Bronze meet yesterday and are looking forward to a weekend full of fun! Tomorrow is our last practice of the year. It's "Float Friday" so bring your floats for some fun. Important information follows:
On Saturday, we are hosting one of the largest GASL meets in recent memory with 486 swimmers. We are in need of your help! First of all, if you have a golf cart and would be willing to shuttle swimmers and their families to their cars (which are likely to be parked all the way down Herndon to the Catrina entrance), please sign up. If you were not able to volunteer throughout the year or have not signed up for a medal position, this is a great chance. The other medal meets have given us fewer positions at their meets in recognition of this huge meet. Second of all, if you are attending the Silver meet--please walk, bike, scooter, teleport, anything other than drive your car. We need as many spaces as we can get. I would additionally avoid inviting family members as it will be crowded and hot (and less cars to park).
Katherine Cartney and Caroline Koppels are running a food drive at the Silver Meet to benefit the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. Please see attached to see what they need! Thank you for helping our neighbors in need.
Details about warm up times, psych sheets, and programs will be distributed to families attending tomorrow. Please double check Swimtopia to see if your kiddo was entered in a relay. It's going to be a great weekend! Let me know if you have any questions.
Go Marlins!
